Rough Riders Parade Details
The 2021 Annual Santa Fest Parade will be held on Saturday, December 4th in Downtown Tampa. The Rough Rider Floats are staging at Numbers 38-43 which is located on Pierce Street, between Madison and Twiggs Streets (west side of the old courthouse). Staging will open at 10:30 AM and close at 1:00 PM, with the parade stepping off promptly at 1:30 PM. Our floats will be in staging by 12PM. Light refreshments will be served in staging, while they last.
This is a uniform event. The club President has authorized the wearing of holiday festive neckerchiefs and suspenders. You are required to wear your Rough Rider Stetson on your head or on a lanyard around your neck.
Your immediate family is encouraged to attend, meaning your children, grandchildren and spouse/significant other. To keep this a fun safe and family-oriented parade, we must adhere to the following:
1.) No extended family, friends, neighbors, or other adults will be permitted. All guests (children and adults) must sign a Release and have it turned in no later than 1PM the day of the parade. Here is the release - please print it and complete it and bring it with you to staging.

2.) All family members/significant others must wear a blue, red, or green Rough Rider T-shirt. Guests may wear Santa/elf hats, but Santa suits are not authorized.
3.) For your convenience, the Quartermaster will be open on Wednesday December 1st from 4:30 to 7:00 PM and will have the Rough Rider blue, red, and green T-shirts for sale in child and adult sizes, as well as festive Holiday beads.
3.) No alcohol or drinking, no smoking or tobacco products and no obscene or non-kid friendly buttons or other paraphernalia may be worn, as this is a family friendly parade.
4.) No strollers, play pens or other similar items may be brought aboard the floats.
5.) You may park anywhere downtown. It is important to note that all parking meters will be enforced on Saturday morning. Those desiring to attend Santa Fest gathering at Curtis Hixon Park following the parade are encouraged to use the parking garage at Ashley Drive and Polk Street near the Library.
6.) Please note, no one will be permitted to ride any of the floats to and from the Clubhouse due to insurance restrictions. The floats will stop briefly in the disbanding area to allow everyone to safely disembark from the floats. Participants who are walking will be directed to continue onto to Gasparilla Plaza so as not to interfere with the disembarking of the floats. Parade Marshalls will be there to guide and assist with the disbanding and disembarking.
Rough Riders President Billy Hogan, Chairman of the Board John T. R. Howell and I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, December 4th 2021 for the Annual Santa Fest Parade.
