Springtime Tallahassee Parade Weekend

Springtime Tallahassee Grand Parade Plan:

Uniform: 2019 Year patch attached to a full uniform for Rough Rider Members.

Family members are invited to participate (wear Rough Rider shirt).

This is a family friendly event so please use appropriate discretion in your actions.

8:30 Battle of Bloody Mary’s / Mimosas (804 n. Monroe St. – generally Monroe and E. 1st Av).

Opaque cups only and no smoking in parade.

9:00 a.m. Staging Starts / we are #89 / Monroe St. between 5th & 6th Av (Bruegger’s Bagels located next to float if you’re hungry).

Participants cannot hand out paper materials or throw confetti or initiate explosive weapon sounds or hand out or throw political or business promotional items.

Be careful not to injure parade participants and minimize throwing beads towards crowd (hand out preferred).

Be safe. Watch out for yourself, others and enjoy the parade.

Immediately Following Parade - Suggestions:

Clyde’s and Costello’s - 210 S. Adams St. (Bar)

Metro Deli – 104 ½ South Monroe (located near end of parade / food)

Jubilee in the Park / Monroe Street on Adams Street, Duval Street, Park Avenue, and College Avenue. The Jubilee winds its way through downtown Tallahassee (below the Doubletree) offering activities (music, food, arts and crafts). The arts and crafts booths will typically include approximately 250 local, regional and national vendors.

Don’t Forget -Evening Rough Rider Social

7:00 Mikey Edenfield Memorial Rough Rider Kill a Keg Social

Free for RR’s & spouse or significant other (with a special member cup.)

The cup will be available at the parade and entitles to keg & food.
